Bacon Wrapped Chicken

Who doesn't love it?
I am a BACON LOVER !!!!

This menu is one of my favorite either for lunch or snack time.
The chicken is so tender, as it pre-boiled with milk and a little cooking wine, as in my Breaded Chicken Cutlet recipe, before wrap it with a slice of bacon.

Bacon Wrapped Chicken

Yields : 6 pieces

  • 6 slices bacon
  • 250 grams chicken tender
  • 200 ml milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon cooking wine
  • 1/4 cup grated cheddar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • Oil for deep fry, or butter to bake

How to:
  1. Rub the chicken tender with baking soda, salt and black pepper, also sprinkle it with the cooking wine, then let it sit for about 5 minutes in a pot.
  2. Pour in the milk and the grated cheddar to the pot, bring it to boil until the chicken get cooked.
  3. Separate the chicken tenders and divide into six pieces. Set aside the soup.
  4. Wrap each of chicken tender with a bacon slice, and secure it with a clean toothpick.
  5. It can be deep fry or bake, as your taste.
    • For deep fry, heat the oil, and deep fry the wrapped chicken until the bacon well cooked.
    • For bake, spread the butter evenly on the bacon and bake it until well cooked.

  • This recipe is using a pork bacon, and may substitute with turkey bacon as taste.
  • The bacon may half-cooked, to minimize the break or shrink  effect when it fries.
  • The soup can be used in another recipe, such as the Savory Foie.
